Ask these 5 critical questions to any company who
offers foreclosure avoidance help… to protect your
home, your family and your financial future. Last year 846, 982 people actually lost their homes to
foreclosure. Many of them were ripped
off by ‘foreclosure avoidance’ scam artists.
Others were strung along by mortgage companies promising a refinance
mortgage loan that just could not be done, and the home owner didn’t know that
until it was too late. Bottom line…those home owners lost everything…and you can too. Be
wary of companies and people offering advice on foreclosure avoidance. Unfortunately, there are many scam artists
and mortgage companies who prey on people in foreclosure. See
Brandon’s story
for one such example, or simply call your state Attorney
General’s office for a registered list of foreclosure scammers. For
your part, ask any person or company offering foreclosure avoidance help the
following 5 critical questions to reveal
their operating policies and to protect yourself….YOUR HOME, YOUR FAMILY and
YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE ARE ALL AT STAKE.
NHF will guarantee our results in writing with you,
including critical time deadlines. We
will carefully review your situation to ensure that we can actually help you
before we make this commitment, but once we make it your home is secure. Be wary of companies who will not commit IN WRITING
to you. And until you sign our written agreement, there is
NO obligation on your part with NHF. Once
we sign our agreement with you we GUARANTEE that your home will be rescued from
foreclosure and that you can continue living in it, while we show you how to
rebuild your credit.
Many companies require a debt-laden homeowner to
front hundreds or thousands of dollars BEFORE they any work is done…and even
then, they don’t GUARANTEE that you can avoid foreclosure. Some ‘mitigation’ companies will actually do
no more than make a phone calls and write a few letters, things you could
easily do yourself. With NHF you will not have to pay us one thin dime
for anything we do BEFORE we guarantee that your home will be saved. The only expense you will have before we
execute the final program is a small appraisal fee that you will pay a local
appraiser to verify the value of your home, and even that will be reimbursed to
you later in the program.
Just getting out of foreclosure isn’t enough…you
need a specific plan of action and help restoring your credit or else you’re
just postponing the inevitable. That’s our ‘Back-On-Track’ Home Saver Program. First we will work with you to outline a realistic
budget guide you can follow for 24 to 36 months while our credit counselors
help you repair damaged credit. We will
periodically check in with you to make sure the plan is working for you and to
see if there are any adjustments needed. Normally within 24 to 36 months your credit
will be restored without the blight of foreclosure or bankruptcy on your
record.
This is an easy one to check…just make a few simple phone
calls…starting with 866-673-7255. One problem many people in foreclosure experience is that the company
alleging to help them is really just stringing them along to get them past the
‘point of no return’ when they will make a low-ball last-minute offer to buy
the house while you are moving out. One
of the tactics they use is not returning phone calls in a timely fashion. An easy way to test any company is just pick up the
phone and call…and call…and call.
Reputable companies understand the stress you’re under, have the
resources to help you quickly, and will return your calls normally within 1
hour the same day you call if they cannot talk with you live the first time.
Not all states allow assistance after the sheriff’s
sale, but some do. Depending on where
you are in the foreclosure process when you seek help, it may be too close to
the sheriff’s sale to complete the required actions before that happens. National Home Owners Financial can help you
even after the sheriff’s sale if you state allows such help. Talk to one of our counselors and we will be
happy to tell you the specific requirements in your state. If the company you’re trying to do business with hedges on any of
the answers to these questions…WATCH OUT. You may be the next case study
in a foreclosure ripoff scam. National
Homeowners Financial Association passes all these evaluations and more. | |
